Dominican Republic National Energy Commission, CNE, is a government agency tasked with promoting the sustainable development of the country's energy sector. CNE focuses on the conventional and renewable energy sectors, including biofuels, and nuclear technology, among others. It aims to promote investment in generation projects using renewable sources, and it is responsible for drawing the energy sector national policy and legal regulations. The Santo Domingo-based agency was founded in 2001.
