Description

EnerNuevas S.A. is a renewable power generation company, subsidiary of Chilean water utility Aguas Nuevas, and ultimately controlled by a joint venture between Japanese firms Marubeni and Innovation Networks Corporation of Japan. The company operates three mini hydro power plants —El Toro II, Alto Hospicio and Santa Rosa—, with a combined installed capacity of 3.3MW. The plants supply electricity to the northern interconnected system (SING), accounting for 25% of total consumption in the Alto Hospicio municipality. EnerNuevas was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Santiago.
