Description

Candente Copper Corp (Candente Copper) is a company founded by the Canadian executive Joanne C. Freeze and the Peruvian geologist Fredy Huanqui in 1997, which is aimed at the acquisition, exploration and development of mining properties inside Peru. Based in Vancouver, the firm focuses on the feasibility studies of the copper Project Cañariaco, formed by their 26 concessions (100%) covering 20,590 ha in the Department of Lambayeque. Besides, Candente Copper explores the copper-gold project Arikepay, in Arequipa, which has two blocks of 1,800 and 2,200 ha; the copper deposits Miraflores, located in La Libertad, and Don Gregorio, in Cajamarca, measuring 1,800 and 7,900 ha respectively; the copper-molybdenum mine Las Pavas, which covers 888 ha in Ancash; and the 6,000ha lead-zinc deposit called As de Zinc, in Huanuco.
