Timmins Gold Corp. is a Canadian mining company engaged in the business of acquiring, exploring, developing and operating mineral resource properties in Mexico, through its wholly owned subsidiaries Timmins Goldcorp México S.A. de C.V. and Molimentales del Noroeste S.A. de C.V. The company owns the San Francisco gold project in Sonora state which was placed into commercial production in 2010. Timmins expects to eventually achieve a gold production rate in excess of 100,000oz/y at the mine. Other projects include San Onesimo in Zacatecas state, and El Picacho, Patricia, Norma and La Pima in Sonora state. In 2014 the company completed the acquisition of the Caballo Blanco gold project in Veracruz state from Goldgroup Mining. Timmins Gold was incorporated in 2005 and is based in Vancouver, Canada. In 2015 the company acquired Canadian miner Newstrike Capital Inc., which holds a 100% interest in certain exploration properties in Mexico located within the mining districts of the Guerrero gold belt, including the Ana Paula project, and Oaxaca state.
