Description

Tahoe Resources is a Canadian mining company engaged in the exploration and development of mineral properties in the US for the mining of precious metals. In 2015, it completed a merger process with Rio Alto Mining, under which Rio Alto became a wholly owned subsidiary of Tahoe. The merger creates a US$3.25bn market cap precious metals miner with Tahoe's Escobal silver-lead-zinc mine in Guatemala and Rio Alto's La Arena gold mine in Peru, in addition to the latter's Shahuindo and La Arena Sulphide Stage projects in Peru. Tahoe Resources was founded in 2009 and is based in Vancouver, Canada.
