Description

Brazil's science, technology, and innovation ministry (MCTI) operates as an administrative body is responsible for the following areas: national policies relating to scientific research, planning, coordination, supervision and control; and IT and automation development. Since absorbing the country's two development agencies Finep and CNPq, MCTI has gone on to coordinate the execution of programs and efforts to strengthen national policy on science, technology and innovation. Its policy aims to transform the sector into a strategic component for the economic and social development of Brazil.
