Spectrum is a seismic service provider that offers multi-client services and high quality seismic imaging. It has data and reports from some of the major oil producing regions of the world, including over 1mn km of 2D data. Founded in 1986 and based in Oslo, Norway, Spectrum has offices in the UK, the US, Norway, Singapore, Egypt, Australia, and Brazil. In the region, the company has conducted seismic surveys in the Brazilian basins Foz do Amazonas, Sergipe, Alagoas and Pelotas. In 2014, Spectrum signed a cooperation agreement with oilfield services provider Schlumberger, which acquired a 50% stake in Spectrum's Pelotas multi-client program. Both companies reached a similar agreement in May 2015, in this case to jointly acquire and process Spectrum's offshore Mexico Campeche-Yucatan 2D seismic data. Also in the region, the firm started in late-2014 a 3,600km multi-client 2D seismic survey offshore Uruguay, covering ultra deepwater acreage in the Oriental del Plata and Pelotas basins. Its results will be available in 2Q15.
