Acciona has secured a 100mn-euro (US$108mn) "green loan" from BBVA for solar PV and wind energy projects in Chile, the former said Thursday.
The Madrid-based company's local subsidiary, Acciona Energía Chile, was awarded a series of 15-year supply contracts with power distributors totaling 600GWh/y in a national tender in late 2014.
In a subsequent 2016 auction, the firm won a series of 20-year PPAs totaling 506GWh/y.
Acciona in December secured environmental approval for the US$101mn Almeyda solar PV project.
