But production in September fell for the second month in a row, after 15 consecutive increases.
The tin miner took a step forward with two of its projects, as it seeks to revert declining earnings.
Anglo American reports a 6% increase in total production on a copper equivalent basis in the third quarter of 2017, compared to the same period of 2016. For the first nine months of the year, copper equivalent production has increased by 8%.
The two projects are from local non-metallic miner SQM and cement firm Bío Bío Cementos.
