Description

The project involves the design, construction and operation of an aqueduct to transfer water from Jalisco state's El Zapotillo reservoir to León city in Guanajuato state. The project also involves constructing a microcircuit that would connect the aqueduct to different parts of the city. Additional complementary works would also be carried out. The contract was awarded to Concesionaria Acueducto el Zapollito, comprising Abengoa México, Abeinsa Infraestructuras Medio Ambiente, Abeinsa and Ingeniería y Construcción Industrial. All companies are part of Spain's Abengoa.
